Oppam Project
Providing shelter, dignity, and social security to the underprivileged.
HOPE provides a safety net for those facing extreme poverty combined with physical or mental challenges. Our housing and marriage initiatives are designed to restore dignity and provide a fresh start to struggling families.
The Housing Project: We have constructed 42 houses for impoverished individuals with disabilities across districts like Kannur, Kasaragod, and Trivandrum.
This noble initiative continues with the ongoing construction of the 39th and 40th houses, meant for individuals named Mariyumma in Puthiyangadi and Shakker in Kannur. Additionally, an individual named Maharoof, who battles paraplegia, has been granted a 6 ½ cents of land through the generous will of Smt. Narayani Amma (Late). The construction for Maharoof's house is awaiting support from the Life Mission to commence.
Ambitious Housing Goals: We have launched a groundbreaking ceremony for 60 new houses, with a long-term vision of constructing 1,000 homes.
Marriage Support: This project assists in the weddings of girls from families burdened by illness, widowhood, or disability.
Consistent Compassion: To date, 42 weddings have been facilitated, and our goal is to support at least one marriage every month as a statewide initiative.
A significant milestone was marked with the groundbreaking ceremony for 60 new houses within the HOPE home project. These endeavors are a testament to HOPE's unwavering commitment to providing shelter and dignity to those in need.
This noble project, named after the Malayalam word for "support," has already facilitated 42 weddings, providing a ray of hope and a fresh start to these deserving individuals. As part of their ongoing commitment, HOPE aims to continue this compassionate mission by conducting at least one such marriage every month in the future, further exemplifying their dedication to uplifting those in need.
