Kumar: Drawing a New Destiny. Hailing from the Palakkad district, Kumars life took a tragic turn when he suffered a severe fall from a coconut tree while working. The devastating accident left him bedridden in a coma for three long years. In 2022, Kumar was brought to HOPE Pilathara, marking the beginning of an incredible journey of rehabilitation and self-discovery. Despite being bound to a wheelchair, Kumars spirit remained unbroken. It was here at HOPE that he held a pencil to draw for the very first time in his life. What started as a simple exercise has now blossomed into a deep passion. Today, Kumar is a dedicated artist specializing in beautiful pencil sketches and portrait drawings. To help him refine his incredible, newfound talent, he is currently receiving special training and mentorship from renowned artists Damodaran Master and KKR Vengara. Kumars journey from a hospital bed to an artists canvas is a true testament to human resilience and the healing power of HOPE.
